I should have posted this before the start of this weekend's games... but outside the top 4, the rest of the field seems to be ranked due to past tradition or lack of better competetion

AP
4)Chokelahoma!
5)Oregon
6)Georgia
7)Florida State
8)Michigan (1)
9)South Carolina

No way in hell UGA is a #6....South CArolina #9???? Some turd burglar actually gave Michigan a first place vote????
Florida State, while has talent because Jimbo can recruit, will never take FSU to the next level and will constantly under acheive...

FYI, no one should get their feelings hurt, just an honest CFB revelation-

You forgot Choklahoma brah ... by far the worst performance of the day yesterday.

Landry Jones looked like a fricking retard out there.

It's a four team race, and thankfully we get to see it play out on November 3 and then in January

Unless FSU runs the table

SEC bias, but don't tell SEC fans.

I don't see how you can say that after he's been a HC for only 2 years. Despite what people say, last year was the first time since 2004 that they started in the top 10.

It's early but there's no mistaking the beginning of this year feels awfully like the end of last year...when the 4 best teams in the nation were Bama, LSU, USC, Oregon...with Bama being heads above everyone.

Yeah, should have added them to the list. It further backs my arguement.

My point, Jimbo gets big recruits and so far he's choked in the big games while in a very average conference. His recruits and FSU's history and playing in a weak conference justify placing them at this ranking. He could still prove me wrong but i'm saying he pulls a Spurrier at South Carolina.

Clemson, VaTech, and Florida are FSU's toughest games this year. So, unless they choke, they could pose a problem. Kinda my point though. If they run the table, what does that prove against a crappy schedule like theirs.

I've been saying this for years, there is a lot of parity in CFB with very few elite teams.

and my point, is he's been a coach for only 2 years, so saying he "always" chokes in big games is premature.

Well my original post states:
will never take FSU to the next level and will constantly under acheive
Meaning that's what i am predicting in the future and i am basing that off his 2 years of coaching

For comparisons sake

Saban's first 2 years at MSU he was 12-11-1

Mack Brown won 2 games his first 2 years at UNC, his last 2 they were 31-3. They haven't lost fewer than 5 games a year since he left.

You are entitled you your opinion of course, but basing in on just 2 years sounds like you made up your mind before he even started. I predict, no mater what he does, you will not give him credit.

If you are going to say things like this based totally on conjecture, there will always be a lack of quality teams. I mean saying a team is overrated is one thing. But saying a team will definitely underachieve is dumb. If that is already known, than adjust the expected achievements.

Looks to me like a year where some mid-ranked teams could jump into the top 5. Look for teams like Notre Dame, Nebraska, V Tech, Clemson, West Virginia and Mich St to replace some of the teams that start the season out overrated.
