Mike Leach says he believes he 'can win, and win big' at Washington State.

I have no idea as to whether or not this is PR speak, or he is serious.

What do y'all say?

I'd rather go to school in beautiful Pullman than in Lubbock.

I think he'll have moderate success and be poached by a UCLA type of school.

Well, they were in the rose bowl about 10 or 12 years ago, so maybe. But mostly pr speak.

Oregon came out of realitvely no where. Wazou was pretty good when Ryan Leaf was there in the late 90's. They do have some pretty sharp looking uni's. He's going to have to fight Sarkisizian? at Washington and everyone else for recruits but if kids want to play in his pass heavy offense I don't see why they can't compete in the Pac 12.

He could build a consistent winner there but they will always be a second tier school to USC and Oregon (if Chip Kelly stays around). Basically, Texas Tech 2.0

They can fight for being a lower-tier bowl team from the PAC-12.

Always have some mini-runs at being better than just good.

Kind of like South Carolina, but not as overhyped.

Washington State is just a stop until a better spot opens up for him IMO. I'd like to see him at UK if Joker doesn't do well this season (he was here under Mumme before). But someone will end up snatching him up.

In 3-4 years.. They will be a bowl team 75% of the time and play spoiler.

Due to their offense, they will always be a pain in the arse to game plan for

Rich Brooks worked for a long, long time to build up a foundation at Oregon. Bellotti and Kelly probably don't have shite to work with without him doing so.

Whether it's real or just PR speak, that program needs something to rally around.

Leach makes the most out of unwanted small school recruits, system quarterbacks and converted position players. Wes Welker was an un-recruited running back from Oklahoma. Eric Norris and Danny Amendola were just good athletes nobody else really recruited (possibly because they were 5'8" white guys), and one turned out to be a decent NFL receiver. Michael Crabtree was an athletic Dallas quarterback, and wound up being the best college receiver this past decade.

He won 8-10 games with Kliff Kingsbury, BJ Symons, Sunny Cumbie and his best quarterback was Graham Harrell. He'll get two/three star California kids to come to Pullman in the same fashion as he did with Texas recruits.

I think he can be successful there. May not challenge for the National Title, but i think he can challenge for conference titles.
I hope he does well there. I have always liked him. Maybe i just like unorthodox coaches(Miles, Leach)
