Remington Sportsman 12 ga. Pump Shotgun

A guy is offering me this gun for $175. For the good sportsman of the OB...is this a good deal?
This is my first shotgun as I am a novice in hunting. The gun is in great shape, very few scratches and you can tell it has not been shot much as there are hardly no scratches on the magazine.
