My girlfriend and I are heading up to Portland for a week and plan on visiting some wineries in the Willamette Valley. Any ideas on which to visit?

The only one I think we are set on is Adelsheim. I'm a big fan of their wines.

Scott Paul, Chehalem (one of the first entering Willamette and a great owner...make appointment), Domaine Drouhin (right by Domaine Serene), Bergstrom (exceptional wines), Anne Amie, domaine Serene (great property and wines), Archery Summit (awesome caves and wines), Torii Mor (awesome gardens), White Rose (right by drouhin and serene), and Stoller (probably largest grower out there). Lemme know if u need more!

I have used [link=(this site)]https://willamettewines.com/[/link] before. It has a great listing, maps, descriptions and direction to the wineries. Most are not that far from I-5 or other major highways.

those are nice wineries though expensive. I would also suggest Solena, Willakenzie, Belle Ponte, Erath, Lange, Patricia Greene, Et Fille are some very nice ones also

But of course they are lol. If you're gonna do it, do it right. Belle pente is nice as well as lemelson for another. Met the owner of belle pente in 05 and someone was spraying their orchards and the product drifted onto her "certified organic" vineyards. Said she would never spend that much money again to get that certification again.

Thanks a ton!!! I'll do a little more research into those suggested and let you know what I pick. We fly out of Lafayette on Friday (hopefully)...

No problem. Y'all enjoy. It is hands down my favorite region to visit in the US. Much more casual than napa and Sonoma (and Sonoma is pretty laid back). You can usually run into some owners here and there too. Whatever you do, I would try to map them out as well to know what is closest to one another.

Also, Ponzi opens early....10 as I recall, and is one of the first you'll come to from Portland. Worth a stop.
