I sincerely hope you are kidding us/yourself.

The LSU record for passing TD's in a year is 28...Mauck and Russell share that record.

There have only been 2 individuals to throw for 3000 in a year at LSU...Davey and Russell.

All of those years featured a posse of receivers who would get to the NFL.

With a dominating offensive line and more running backs than we know what to do with, along with a coach who has won a LOT of games with a philosophy of "run first", what makes you think this will be a record breaking passing year? 2000 yds/18 TD and not too many INT would be an OUTSTANDING year for Mettenberger. And like the guy above said, feel free to never use "Sling-It-Burger" again.

Why is everyone so obsessed with us throwing for an assload of yards? Too many video games? Yes, I would like a more productive passing game. 200 yards per game would be wonderful. Anyone who thinks we will average 300 a game is just nuts. Sorry to kill the boner. Would rather have wins and a dominating run game.

To LSUgrad9295

What ever Buzz Killington. If LSU plays 14 games SLING-IT-BURGER only has to throw 214 yards per game. So put the on your burger and eat it

While I agree he isn't going to break records this year, 2000 yards is low balling him.
