Recommend some old or new adventure games

My kids recently dug up our old King's Quest games and have blazed through the ones we had and the rest of the series pretty quickly. We're looking for some game recommendations in the King's Quest genre that are playable for kids. Any recommendations? Played some Syberia and Myst, but never liked either one as much as the old Sierra games.
