I've even heard theories that ESPN may have some sort of disdain for LSU in general

The only time I watch ESPIN is for live sporting events, particularly football & golf. Otherwise, no need for any of the ESPIN channels!

ESPN seems to have their favorites in every sport and everyone else be damned. I don't think it's any coincidence that their favorites generally tend to be the "major market" teams.

USC yes,Texas yes, Ohio St. yes, Miami yes, but Tuscalooserville is not a major market. If the university of Alabama was not there the town would not be there. Same can be said for Starkville, Oxford, Auburn/ Opelika, Athens, Gainsville. If it were large market teams that ESPN wanted to push they would be Pushing Vandy in the SEC since they are in Nashville (Largest city in SEC). They push Bama because of Saban

Good point about Saban. Of course if you are ESPN or a Bama fan, he is the second coming....

And the Bama lovefest continues. Was anyone really surprised with their picks? I mean, other than Florida? I predicted that as soon as they said they could not mention LSU without also mentioning Alabama. Like, LSU wasn't good enough on their own. They had to be lumped in with Alabama. Oh please Tigers, put them in their place.
