I have a draft tonight at 8. 12 team standard league. Just logged on and....

I have pick 12!

Everything else is normal.

Should be able to get 2 solid RBs, or 1 solid RB and a great WR

No, be prepared to snatch up a top 3 RB or WR. Keep your eye on Graham/Gronk.
I had 10th and 11th picks in my draft, ended up with Gronk and McCoy.

Actually, I got Gronk at 10 just to rub it in to my league members. He got me to the playoffs last year and every single league member said they were gonna draft him. I can't believe those guys didn't get McCoy.
Rodgers also fell to 4th pick overall.
ETA: But, this is not at all the kind of team I wanted to build. I wanted a top QB, and some stud wideouts. When I found out I had the last pick, I knew I was screwed. I got lucky to get a shot at McCoy. It doesn't matter how you plan out your draft, a couple of out of place picks can totally screw you up.

I agree. I just don't think any of the top 3 RBs will be available. Maybe one of the top 3 QBs will be, but the scoring kind of scares me away from them.

If Brees, Brady, or Rogers are there, you have to take one of them IMO. The difference in 4 points and 6 points isn't going to matter if you have a QB that's going to throw 40 + TDs.

Yeah, honestly the scoring setup kinda screws the QBs and whoever is in the bottom end of the draft. You might be able to scoop up MJD or Peterson, if you wanted to reach for him. I'd seriously think about Gronk/Graham though. At least you can get a top tight end, and you can add on whatever the best available is at RB or WR.
ETA: That's horrible, don't pick up Peterson that early. I got him in the 3rd round in my draft because I have a mancrush on him. Just get whatever is the best available at WR/RB/QB, but keep Gronk/Graham in mind.
