Seems like it would be a fun trip. Especially if Carson Palmer is still playing QB at that time. BUt you should definitely be prepared for Oakland trash to be in your grill the whole game

I would highly recommend just wearing a black shirt. Still repping your team but hey of they mistake you for a Raiders fan and let you pass shank free, then consider it a win

Hope you didn't get the cheap seats because you'll be with the rough crowd.

so 1, you have the fans, I haven't been there for football but dunno if I'd wear my team colors there if I did

2. the area the stadium is in is the most industrial/nastiest i have seen in my limited exposure to professional venues.

3. a weird stadium in that it is 20-25' below sea level. When you approach it from outside you are at the upper deck. Maybe that has something to do with being called the Black Hole.

Had some good memories of beisbol there back in the day. Canseco and McGwire both hit homers in that game. Two guys sitting in the outfield front row relentlessly harassed Rickey Henderson. Toured the stadium a few innings, came back to that spot, and they were still hollering "Hey Rickey, you SUCK!"

One Raider tale- had a diehard Raider fan coworker who came upon Al Davis walking while camping in Denali National Park. He was sporting his Raider gear and Davis invited him to training camp. He went and Davis treated him like a VIP. He got to hangout in the locker room, go on the field pre and post game. His son got personalized autographs and played with Bo Jackson. Pretty kewl fan treatment by an owner.

That's how UL's stadium is

This is what I keep getting. I'm just going to shrug everyone off. I'll be there with another Oakland fan so hopefully that will deter them haha.

I'm going. Not going to be too many Saints fans so don't be a stranger in the weeks leading up to the game.

Where did you get your tickets (stadium location, I mean). I definitely want to get GREAT and expensive face value seats so that I won't be in the middle of a Mexican gang who wants to kill me. I will probably wear a subtle Saints tshirt under a generic hoodie so as not to get killed going into and out of the stadium. I'd assume I'll be able to wear a Saints tshirt once I "make friends" with the people sitting around me.

Which section did you get seats. I'm looking at getting tickets but want to try and be near the Saints fans if possible. Well as many as possible.

Yes, go but don't get excited when the Saints make good plays. Hold your composure.

Actually, shouldn't Roger be a little more concerned about fan safety as well as player safety. I'll bet Raiders fans have more bounties on opponents than fans of any other team in the NFL. Roger, what you say, BRAH?

get on youtube, and search OAKLAND RAIDER FANS FIGHT, than search NEW ORLEANS SAINTS FANS fight... interesting findings...

Hows the saying go ? ... I went to a fight, and a raider game broke out... That whole bay area fan base is harsh... My 6'6 buddy got horse collared last year @ the SF playoff game because he had a Thomas jersey on... Machismo bullsh!t...

Have fun, and lay low.

I went to the last two Saints Raiders preseason games wearing Saints gear and Saints at 49ers Monday Night game from 2 years ago. All I got at all three were light to moderate heckling.

Had this piece of shite little 12 year old behind me telling me everytime the Raiders made a big play. Wanted to knock him the f*** out by the 3rd quarter but I kept my cool.

As long as you arent super loud and obnoxious and brush off the teasing you'll be okay.

Well I don't know how fan reaction will be towards Saints fans this year after the bounty scandal. We may be in for a few years of hell. On the bright side Saints fans travel well and there are always a fair number of Saints fans at the Bay Area games.

I'm not too worried about it, I'll wear my North Face jacket with a Saints T-shirt underneath and that should do it. I'm the only true Saints fan in my group, the other guy is a Raiders fan and his girl and my girl are neutrals to say the least.

I'd have no problem meeting up with you folks if y'all make it out. More the merrier.

It's not like the Saints are hated division rivals that they play all the time, so I doubt that it'll be that bad.

Now, go there in Chargers or Broncos gear, I'd say leave next of kin contact info somewhere on you.
