Is Helmet Mike a trademarked logo, or just Toonces?

I read here that one of the reasons DBU had Toonces made was because it was unable to trademark the other logos (Helmet and Sailor) and was thus losing $$ on merchandise.
Does anyone know whether Helmet Mike is trademarked or not? Would appreciate you including a link if you have one, to show that your reply is not just the usual Rant b.s. Thanks.

The helmet itself is trademarked. Not sure about the 'Mike' on it.

other schools use the sailor tiger logo
