Please try to be civil and level headed with this please.

Through a series of events I am now a Oregon Ducks season ticket holder, I know my family will shame me. Well I went to the Sping game and have been pondering this ever since. I haven't heard much about the QB situation, but who do you believe will be starting this year? I know Bennett has the experience-ish and has been there longer than the Flyin Hawaiian... BUT, he was outplayed vastly in the Spring Game... So, what is the take of the Oregon fans here?

I do not venture to other teams message boards, so... Yeah.

Traitor. Both QBs suck, it won't matter. DIAF

You felt so bad after game 1 last year you got season tickets to support them?

Haha not a traitor my friend... I live out here and the girlfriend has season tickets and conned me into upping one for me to join her.

And I do not believe Mariota sucks, quite the opposite at that. I think he is their best shot to beat USC.

I don't think anyone knows. And I think most Duck fans realize the offense will fly no matter who it is in Chip's system.

Bennett was awesome vs ASU and I got to see him in person starting vs CU in Boulder last year. There is also a lot of hype behind Mariota with his Spring Game performance, as you said.

Honestly, I am more interested in the development of the running backs behind Barner and DAT.

I'm just giving you a hard time. It's cool you get to see their games; always wanted to go to a game there. I have no idea about their QBs and I don't wish you to die in fire.

I'm interested in seeing how the wr's develop this year. Definitely need the rb's to step up as well, those not named Barner/DAT that is.

I think they both have 1,000 plus seasons myself... And I think Thomas is the best overall player in the nation (yeah, flame away haha).

IMO, if Oregon beats USC they play in the BCSNCG... But what sucks is you'll have to play them twice... I don't think Bennett can do that.

You've just become a season ticket holder and are asking about the qb's BUT you don't think Bennett could beat SC twice?

Eta....what games are you not going to go to? I'll take a game or two off your hands.

Haha yeah no pics, just assume she is a legit OT 6.5... And she shaves haha. I hate it when her beard gets scratchy.

I don't get the Bennett line tho because I became a season ticket holder. Splain sir.

Your asking for info yet you feel informed enough to say Mariota is their best chance and you don't believe Bennett can beat them twice.

Not being a dick, just confused.

Also, you may want to join my tailgate. No one will have better food, can promise you that

I think Chip wants him all over the field splitting receptions and carries so that's why I think it's big to have a dependable back or two behind Barner.

We've had the upper hand on USC head to head going back to 2007 with Dixon, Masoli, and Thomas. Bennett is no drop off from them. It will come down to stopping Marquis Lee and Robert Woods from dominating us the way they did last year.

But college football isn't static.

You have to keep in mind Oregon's attack/hurry up was relatively new to the Pac 10.

Monte seems to be getting a better handle on it with more repetition. PC never could - so I don't put much stock back then considering things have changed.

I see... Well I'm not saying I'm informed I'm just going off of what I saw. And I saw Mariota look like a better athlete and thrower. Didn't see Bennett too much last year, so I'm not going off of that.

And you tailgate at UO games? I can stop by, especially since I assume you're from Louisiana... But I'm sure you just want to see what my girl looks like haha. I'll be at the opener.

That's exactly why Oregon won't have two 1000 yard rushers. Gotta get DAT in space.

The corners were young but I think that'll be why they win. Mitchell was getting burned but did better in the second half. That and the D-line will get in barkleys face a lot....and hopefully lifting themselves off of him a lot.
