Lake Borgne Tripletail question

I'm launching in the Rigolets and heading east past the L&N Train Bridge to do some speck/tripletail fishing. It has been a few years since I went triplatail hunting and when I went I was with my uncle so I didn't keep good bearings.
How far east of the L&N bridge do I need to go before I start looking for crab pot buoys for tripletail? Should I head into Lake Borgne in any particular direction?
TIA

You'll find buoys no matter what direction.
