I like most of what Pitchfork reviews, but they sometimes seem to biased towards some artists.

Any recs for some other album review sites?

Most of the time, I like their reviews. But two phenomenal albums by one of my favorite bands got pretty mediocre reviews on there. While a bunch of, what I consider pretty mediocre, records got shining reviews.

I use them and appreciate what they have to say about music. I use their reviews to get into newer bands. They do come off very pretentious though. I usually see what they have to say about new releases but don't let them sway me from albums that they might not particularly like.

I tend to disagree with them a lot, but they are pretty much the definitive Hipster Guide to Music. They carved that niche out of nothing, so good for them. I do think they champion some pretty awful bands, though.

It's become cliche to rip on Pitchfork, but I do generally like what they try to do, even if I tend to think they suck up way too far to Brooklyn's band of the week.

Pitchfork can be annoying sometimes. I try to stay away from reviews.

It's a good starting point to discover new bands, but I definitely don't take their word as gospel.

Bingo.

They have led me to some gold, but not always. They are useful like that.
