We need someone to replace the deep threat/fly route that Meachem gave us.

I love Morgan's speed but his hands aren't great.

Tanner is great but much in the same as Moore.

How bad is AA's injury and does he even give us a deep threat?

Will we see Toon in the preseason?

Courtney Robey really wants a roster spot!

Thoughts?

Looks like the obvious choice to me as of right now. He's hustling and making some damn impressive catches. We all know he has the speed for it.

The only way I could see him not taking Meach's place is if Toon starts playing and looks damn good, like really really damn good. Of course this is all based on 2 glorified practice sessions, but yeah...

As of now it looks like its Roby's spot to loose. This is the best he looked playing WR, granted its only 2 preseason games.

I think Graham and Devery are those guys right now.

I thought Toon was more of a big, possesion receiver, than a burner, big play receiver?

Colston
Moore
Devery
Roby

Morgan?

Is there room for 6 being that morgan and roby are so heavily involved in special teams?

He is.

IMO

Colston, Moore, Henderson are in for sure.

Roby, Toon & Morgan are fighting for that fourth and fifth spot.

Here's my question/issue. Based off of production, Toon should be the odd man out and likely would be with this teams philosophy of keeping the best guys regardless of draft position/aquasition.

How will not having Payton/Loomis around effect which one stays and which one goes? Do Vitt and Carmichael have the kahonies to cut Toon if he's being outplayed?

It'd be nice to put Toon and PUP or IR and let him sit back and develop.

plenty of time for Toon to make his case still

AA: can't make the club in the tub, simple as that

Roby is the leader after 2 games. I've had him written off since last year. Keeping a guy as a gunner only is a tough roster move IMO. 8 catches for 120yds in 2 games is double what his preseason was last year. Not to mention his 1 reg season catch in 4 yrs here. Good for him if wins out. Maybe Payton had some bias against calling his number enough.

Yes, it was really strange...he didn't play at all as a rookie.

He was injured the first half of the season and then he just couldnt get the playbook down. I remember thinking he must be a dumbass.

Do you honestly believe that Payton/Loomis will not have a say in that matter?

I think he was only on the active roster for 8 games and started out on the PUP list (I think). That's esentially what Chad was talking about for Toon. It's basically a wasted year which is why I called it a red shirt year.

Hopefully we can hang on to Morgan, if he can develop his hands like Devery did over his career here he could be a decent deep threat
