I have a 2wd 2010 f150 and last night while driving down a bumpy road, a knocking started happening in my driver seat floorboard just under my left foot. I got out immediately when I noticed it to see if anything was hanging or beating around, but nothing looks amiss. I jacked it up today and everything looks fine under it.

Just wondering if anybody else has experienced this or have a clue what it could be.

Is the knocking tempo random or rhythmical? Did it speed up equally with ebgine rpm or vehichle speed? Was it only while in a turn?

It's random and it seemed to be somewhat synchronized with the bumps in the road.

Likely a bad motor, tranny, or exhaust mount.

I thought that it may be a bad or loose body mount, think I'm gonna take it to the dealership before the weeks over. I've got the 100k warranty.

Good idea. Make them drive it with you and hit some holes if they dont find anything on first look.

I would say body mount at the pinch weld. Pretty easy to get to actually, if you don't mind laying on the ground. Another thing it "might" be is ball joints. That is a long stretch though.

Can't think of anything that would be in front of the floorboard firewall and make those noises.

Havnt had time to take it yet, it stopped for a little while yesterday then it started doing it again later that evening on the same road. It's blowing my mind.

Where would I need to look to check the body weld you're talking about?
