Who is going to be this year's go to receiver and how much yards do you think he will have at the end of the season?
My WR predictions:
OBJ- 700-750 yds. 7 tds
Landry- 400-450 5 tds
Shep- 300-350 yds 5 tds
Wright-250+ yds 4 tds
Boone- 200-300 yds 3 tds
Mett will probably be around 2,500-2,700 20-25 tds IMO..

For some reason I feel Landry will be our top receiver with 800+/- yards. OBJ coming with like 600-700. I agree with on Shep, but maybe with fewer TD's

I would love those numbers man...2800 would be great with about 3000 rushing.

Yea if Mett has those type of numbers, I see no way we lose unless that also includes about 18 int's. Matt Flynn type numbers and we will be very tough to beat. This should be a much better than defense than what we had in 07

i could see us slinging it around after mixing it up with the run early in the game, but also shutting it down at the end like we always have, so mett might average 150-200 a game instead of what we hope to see around 220-270, but at the same time running it 180-200+. Shep kinda scares me but if we can get him into space, i could see him with a lot of YAC, just as well with OBJ and Landry. Wright could be our Randle because he has the size and decent hands. I would really like to see armand williams excell.. he is a big body too at 6'3 200.

The 2007 D was ranked 3rd but I agree, the 2011 and 2012 probably better. The 2007 O ranked 26th which about where I hope this years edition finishes. The difference being of course, our coach not explaining "Well, yes, but we didn't lose in regulation."

i like OBJ with the ball in his hands best...his athletic ability is amazing...his speed and ability to make people miss is awesome.. and if anyone survived long enough to see him catch a slant route in the NCG, he had to jump straight up over forty inches for, his knees were at the defenders head..literally.

I watched him in spring game running a crossing pattern, stop and leap backwards, and while about fully extended catch the ball about a foot off the ground. The kid has Heisman reel written all over him.

i just didnt see how jefferson made it so difficult to get the ball to his receivers against georgia and bama.. i know that their defenses were great, but he should atleast pass for 100 yards or a little more..

All we need is for Mett to average about 180 a game. 200+ would be gravy IMO. I still see us running for about 220+/- a game

I say we see it twice this season. Our OOC schedule is pretty bad. Also with Washington having a good QB and a horrible defense. I can see the passing game being the best in that game, we have seen since we beat Ohio St

yeah, well you know how the past OOC crappy games have gone.. we barely even throw over 80 yds if that and barely have over 250 yds of offense and somehow manage to win by over 40 pts

I think this leads us back to the other thread about worst QB's of the last decade.
Passing HAS to be better this year, and I see a bunch of passing yards against Washington(not Davey-01 Bama type numbers). After that we have 13 more games to get a 300 yard game. Maybe one of the cupcakes, maybe not. Possibly Arkansas or A&M turns into a small shootout where Mett puts up 300

Will will have more passing yards than many of you think we will have in my opinion. I expect us to pass more early in games instead of late.
And I expect to see a bunch of deep passes that garner 50 yards or so. A couple of those can really push your passing yards stat way up in a hurry.
