Going to start one of these series, and eventually watch both. Which would you recommend first? Further, is Blockbuster Online or Netflix the only real options for renting a television series these days? I would rather watch the series on my television and not computer or IPAD.

The Wire by miles. Breaking Bad is very average, and over hyped.

I started Breaking Bad season one a couple days ago and it's been really hard to stop. GREAT acting all around and really compelling story line.

doesn't matter, both fantastic TV

Breaking Bad might be the "easier" watch, but The Wire probably has the biggest pay off

I'll do both, which was really my plan in the first place. I think I'll start with Breaking Bad, just because it's still ongoing and maybe I can watch it fast enough to be able to watch the current season.

Netflix my only option?

Don't really want to watch it on my computer. Television is better.

I know, but what about the episodes that he has missed for this season? He won't be able to catch up so he can watch the current season as it plays.

I downloaded them and just went beast mode and would do marathons until I got finished. They were good.

You can't just run a HDMI cable to your tv? Shoot, if you have a newer tv, you can get it on your network and just stream it from your PC. That's how I watch pretty much all my tv except sports.
