Was wondering about Chad Jones, how's he doing? Any updates on his progress?

It is sad, but true. You just cant make it in the NFL when you run a 4.8-4.9

Apparently had little to do with that. They concluded that although the degree of recovery was remarkable, it wasn't enough to withstand NFL contact.

even if he was able to get back to running in the 4.6 range, which isn't terrible, i don't think he'd ever be able to withstand nfl contact nor would he be able to make cuts and change direction fast enough to be able to play. who knows, maybe his leg will one day get strong enough to where he'll be able to give baseball another shot. one thing he has going for him in that regard is his arm hasn't suffered from overuse through the years. wish the best for him, though, in whatever the future holds for him. hate to see this happen to those that seem like genuinely good human beings.
