sounds like there is a c/o 2014 DE as good as if not better than Willis right across the river from Red Stick.

I wonder if they have a premier game or two, seems like they would have to.

Man, 2014 is going to be a monster year in La. Everyone knows the big 4 5* guys, but Sonny has been talking about how good the 4*s are shaping up.

BigEd-I will be attending Plaquemine games this fall, Davon is a very explosive player with great footwork. Yesterday I talked to one of the asst. coaches for Plaquemine about Davon. I also know his parents and will talk to his father this weekend.

When Brandon Williams was a rising star at Port Allen, Paul Distefano was a HC. He came within an injury to BW's ankle, of making major strides at PAHS. He left the next year.

Today, after a hiatus from the Early Crimson Dwarf days at LSU, Distefano returns to Plaquemine HS, the hometown of Paul D.

I see he has the talent. PD has the mojo and knows how to motivate kids. He was on staff with Brusly HS HC, Eric Willis, in they hey days at St. John of Plaquemine.

Look for PD and EW to rise on the local charts. Both have their own unique style. Willis is an excellent HC and has Brusly, on the cusp of success. Wtih Jasman Christophe as QB, a 6'4" athletie.....and a good supporting cast, with DiMario Jackson at RB...Brendan Alexander......Ben Crockett.....etc....Brusly will back down from NOBODY.

GO Iberville and WBR Parish FB. it is time to shine!!!

That's awesome!

Sounds like he is a major priority for next years class, and if he could rush on Boutte, that speaks volumes. He is a year younger, and no one else had been able to budge Boutte.

In a 4-3 he is, IMO, a considerably better DE prospect. Willis is a 3-4 DE or a 4-3 DT IMO.

Not to knock Willis, I just see him outgrowing the position and being moved inside to dominate.

Davon is a pure speed pass rusher, and his upside is off the charts. While Willis is rated higher at this time, I would venture to say that Davon will be more productive at the next level.

bayoublazer-I agree that Hakeem is a baller, he's not at the level of Davon. I can see Hakeem at So. Miss, La.Tech, Houston type player.

Distefano's stepping into a pretty good sitation after the job Bob Howell did building if up from the mess he inherited. They may actually push Lutcher for the district title this year.

I worked their game vs St. Michael last year. Deggs and the DE this thread is about worked over SMHS. Largest margin of victory I had last year. Def a team worth checking out for HS football fans
