Yes, this is absolutely absurd, which is why I'm glad that someone else came up with it and followed through with the thought exercise.

Here's what happened:

Top 50

Alabama and USC - 4
LSU - 2

Top 100 - Alabama looks like a shite ton.

Because there's so much football going on in mid July...

It's an interesting thought exercise.

June Jones wants a rocket-armed quarterback. He finds one in the player LSU fans jokingly refer to as "Mettensavior."

Mettsiah maybe?

124. LSU: DT Bennie Logan, Jr., LSU
After watching his defensive line get decimated in the first round, Les Miles makes sure he gets to keep at least one of his giants. In future years, Miles can replace the draft losses from the fruit of the giant defensive tackle tree located somewhere in rural Ascension Parish. (That is how LSU gets all those great defensive tackles, right?)

Is Ascension really considered rural?

Not a big deal but just shows you how reporters print stuff without having details correct.

Actually there is. The Arena Football League is still playing, and New Orleans lost to Tampa by 1 point last Saturday. Of note Marlon Favorite(LSU) and Joshua Victorian(LaTech) are on the team.

honestly, this thing is useless for only going 1 round.

I think that Bennie Logan at 124 is a hell of a steal and LSU would be better based on that player than many teams that picked higher.

I want to see what LSU's roster would look like after 40 or 50 rounds of this shite

Hardly

Some parts of the St. Amant district are rural-ish, but unfortunately this tree is a myth as evidence by the lack of blue chip prospects anywhere for the Gators.

I guess when think about it, this area has had its fair share of frick ups when it comes to pro prospects though. Nick Fairley is off to a helluva start. We all know what happened with Jamarcus Russell. Mark Barron got arrested a while ago for hindering prosecution. Sherman Williams got busted for selling weed, he should be getting out soon though. Keith McCants once was a top pick in the NFL draft in 1990. After his career busted, he started smoking crack. That may be the most tragic story of them all, the guy had all the talent in the world. He had several knee surguries and ended up playing at DE mostly in the pros instead of LB. Then you have Leonardo Carson, the former Auburn D-lineman who sold dope also, he got 10 years. He also assaulted a guy outside of a used car lot one time. Carson and Williams both played for the Dallas Cowboys.

Willie Anderson and Chris Samuels have stayed out of trouble. Both had solid careers as O-linemen in the NFL. They didn't start to feel sorry for themselves after their careers were over and make dumb decisions.

dude nobody cares about the little guys down here. Everyone pledges their allegiances to either Auburn or Alabama. It sucks too because for years everyone here asked, why doesn't South get a football team? I've been to a few games at Ladd Stadium and can tell you the attendance has been bad. They do play Mississippi State this year on the road and they play ULL and NC State too. I think maybe the biggest home game will be Troy. There will probably be about 25 to 30,000 there at best though. Ladd is a pretty small stadium so that will be a problem until they get there own field.

Clowney at #1 makes sense, especially when they say classification is a factor, but Barrett Jones at #2? A Sr, who is moving to C because his team has a better, younger prospect at LT is the #2 pick? Really? If you don't care that
you only have him for 1 year and you don't take Barkley, you are loco. Hell, i could see a case for McCarron #2 given he's just a soph, but Jones

125. Alabama: LB Ryan Anderson, Fr., Alabama

After watching the nation pick apart his team in the first round, Nick Saban chuckles. "Aight," he says. "You take my veterans. I'll beat you with my freshmen." Then he selects Anderson, the 250-pound Jack linebacker-in-training. Upon hearing this comment, the other schools promptly select the remainder of Alabama's 2012 signing class before Saban can select again.
