I've been using H&H for years and they don't seem to hold up well. What brands should I consider?

I like H&H bull minnows. They are shorter, thus you get less fish bitig and ruining them

Matrix Shads work good for getting bites, but are not real durable. Those two concepts maybe not be compatable... softer baits seem like they would have better action? Just a theory...

Kinda depends on the brand. I've seen both purple and pink versions,

The Bayou Chubs are pretty durable but I've been liking the Matrix Shads lately. They are softer and have a great action. Try buying jigheads that have some kind of retention hook or ridges on the barrel of the hook below the weight. Jenny's Jigs do a good job of keeping a bait on the hook and they dont seem to wear out as fast.

i'm talking about the tail end. a 2.5" versus a 3.5" gives them a lot of plastic to bite off instead of snagging the hook

Also super glue them to the jig head, it will help them stay on.

Yeah...I'd end up with 3 jigs on my fingers, one on my pud, then just give up.
