Let's just get this season started already. The anticipation is damn near killing me.

[quote]"As a competitor, you want to play," Mettenberger said. "But the two guys we had were playing good football. They were efficient quarterbacks all year. And, shoot, we were 13-0 at the time. It's hard to say woulda, coulda, shoulda had I played and it would have been different. But at the time, it was best for the team. ... I was very sure of myself and I thought I was capable of leading the team. But we had two guys who have played plenty of SEC football and won a lot of football games. So we were going to roll with them and we had a great season."

Nice answer....I'm sure I know what he'd like to have said though

I like this one.

"It's fun to go out there and be 'the guy' and toss it around the yard at Tiger Stadium."

Wouldn't it be something if Zach, Odell and HB are all three in Heisman talk?!

If you can win w/o throwing the ball alot, obviously thats the way to go.. the more ya throw the more to's.. if ya start losing the turnover battles you will lose games. But when you play a championship calibur defense loaded with nfl talent you better be able to stretch the defense. Les will still be Les and run the ball often. I can see zach throwing alot early in games opening up the running attack to take over. I think Zack will prove to be worty of the hype but he wont put heisman numbers up. We will pass more for sure.. ? is How in the world do we keep all our RB talent happy??
