Need some gif tips from the masters

I ust made my first gif (pretty exciting, even though it's simple) and I just wanted to see if there were quicker ways to do what I did before I get into more complicated stuff. Any advice is appreciated...
The whole thing was about 30-something frames. I used photoshop to edit the layers.
my question is:
I created the text layer first, then duplicated it several times then merged it to the layers I wanted. Is there a better way to do this? I'm assuming the process is the same for adding faces or other things that remain in one location, so I want to make sure I'm not missing out on a shortcut.

Looks great to me! That's pretty much the process I've been following, but it will be interesting to see the other comments.

With text it's pretty easy. Just create one new layer for text, make sure it's at the top of the layers and make it visible only in the frames you want.
You can move layers between new frames, but if you want to change size/opacity/etc you have to create a new one.

Let's say I wanted to add my logo stamp, I could just put it on the top layer and it would show for all? Is that what you are saying?

Yup. ToP layer and just make sure visibility is on on all layers
