Why is this game so 'big' in the eyes of a lot of Tiger fans' eyes? Tickets are outrageous and in short supply. Looking at the schedule, aTm will be 3-3 at best when they play LSU.

It's just another conf game for me. aTm never excited me. I was disappointed when lsu played them a coupld years ago in the Cotton.

it's nolstagia for the 80's and 90's, aTm fans jacking up the prices, and there are plenty of LSU fans that want to make the short trip to College Station from anywhere in East/North Texas

lots of tigers live in texas. it's a natural rivalry and close for texas tigers to go to an away game. tix will be in very high demand!

We fans of the Tigahs living here in Tejas (and there's a bunch of us) would not enjoy hearing from the Ags for a year.

+1 (although I don't agree with his spelling)

hell, it goes back further than that....the traditional LSU opener back in the 60's and 70's was against the aggies....

Back then A&M was similar to VA Tech, they had a great defense and ranked in the top 10, but couldn't get over the hump and win any bowl games or nat'l titles.
Some of us in our 30's remember very well when we lost 6 years in a row to them.
We want pay back that we missed out on this past decade except for Cotton Bowl.

Well I'm guessing that ATM is still sore from lsu breaking the contract back in the day so they have make up what Lsu owed them and theyre doing it by jacking up the prices.

ATM is the new Moo St IMO

fricking cult

traditionally, they were our season opener and honestly they used to beat us like a damn drum...kinda cool to see us play them again with a lot more at stake this time and a good shot of beating the shite out of them...

I like it mainly bc my two tganksgiving's are both less than 2 hour trips for me and my wife's family. We set up our thanksgivng around that game.

I think that even though their record will say otherwise, they are a big name program. A recognized program with a large following. They will eventually develop into an SEC team and by that time, they will be much better than Arkansas. The rivalry will be there and not feel forced like the arky "rivalry".

Easy - TAMU will suck dong this year so their fans are capitalizing on the novelty of playing LSU again by scalping the fock out of their tickets. We're going to beat them by 3+ scores - at THEIR house.

I like it cause it was a big non conf game back in the day and I feel this could become a serious rivalry in the west. It was also the first game I ever saw in TS, mid 80's

I'm 39, a LSU grad, and a lifelong resident of BTR. My first game in Tiger Stadium was the "lights out" game against aTm. So I'm not young, naive, or a newbie. Maybe if aTm were a good team, I could see the hysteria for the game, but they most probably won't even be ranked. I know there are more LSU grads living in Texas than Louisiana. I will be in College Station for the game but I'm not going to the game unless tickets come down significantly.
