Eating at Doe's with wife. Loud, obnoxious table of 4 is next to us. They finally get up to leave and one of guys notices two large, black men sitting at a table. He asks if they play and then asked what position. When one replies "O line", semi- drunk guy makes a big deal and loudly tells everyone he has something to ask them. Sits down at their table and begins to berate them and ask over and over again how they couldn't get past the 50 yard line. This goes on for several minutes until I get up and calmly tell him that they have been asked this question hundreds of times and besides, it's hard to run successfully when you have no pass game. I suggest that the guys probably want to finish their steaks now. I go back to my table; he makes a couple more comments and then leaves.
After the players finish they come over to my table and thank me. They introduce themselves as Chris Faulk and Keke Mingo. We chat a few minutes and they thank me again.
Point is these guys could have told the arse off and been justified to be really ugly about it. But they handled it well. And they even took notice and thanked me for asking the guy to lay off.
Proud of these future NFL'ers for being classy.
BTW, the meal was great.

It's these kind of "fans" that piss me the hell off. Always know more than, gee, the players.

Props to Mingo and Faulk for being respectful even though I'm sure they were ready to rip the guy's head off.

I hate idiot fans like this. "Fans" like this could fit in well with Alabama's entitled mentality.

Class act by you and players.
On the other hand people who bitch and moan all the time about the nat'l need to find a new team. Say thanks for getting 13 wins and beating Alabama in Bryant-Denny.

Thanks for sharing. Stupid arse-holes out there and nothing the players can do about it.

Side note: Pretty awesome that 2 guys who have been battling for years in the trenches during practice are close like that. I just hope they don't start no north vs. south stuff. (Last part is sarcasm)
