I'm interested too, but for the price of the fricking things I could fix the damn bumper back to stock twice probably

i'm pretty sure all those big companies can paint them to match my stock paint huh?
Posted on 7/13/12 at 5:24 pm to KingRanch
If not any body shop can. You may be able to find a company who could powder coat it to match (being that the finishes are usually powder coat on those things) and it would be legit, but if not paint will work as well. I know the texture finish on things like road armour are made to be painted over to match

i would love to go that route with it, but i can't find any info on it

Bumper on mine is fricked up. Said a painted one would cost ~$600, don't have that kind of change laying around, so I'm going to need more options too.
Anyone know of a place that could straighten one out a little?

Not exactly what you're looking for but what I have done in the past...
I dented the shite outta my bumper on my old Dodge. I had to remove it because the tire was running it too bad. Went to a junk yard across the old MS bridge and got a brand new one for $130.
Granted I don't know how or where they got the bumper from and really don't want to know but I would check it out. Nothing else, a junkyard may have one on a truck wrecked in the rear or side. Much cheaper than new.
KR, Road Armor are my favorite. But they are expensive and very heavy. Also, I have heard that they have zero customer service. Might be worth checking out though.

I am actually drawing a blank right now. I meant expensive in comparison to other companies. When I get to a computer I'll throw out some numbers and more info.

*Disclaimer: Ford does not reccomend any of these bumpers on trucks with their electronic power steering (2011/2012 5.0 and 3.5).*
The most common light duty grille guard is:
Weston
LINK
There are many different brands that offer the same level of protection. They go for around $500/$600
Medium Duty:
Ranch Hand
Light: LINK
Medium: LINK
Heavier: LINK
Heavy: LINK
Prices on these obviously vary widely. I consider these all better options than the Light Duty Weston Grille Guards even though most of these are considered grille guards. Ranch Hand also makes rear bumpers that are stout.
Heavy Duty:
Road Armor:
Small: LINK
$1500
Medium: LINK
$2000
Heavy: LINK
$2500
Road Armor also makes their own rear bumpers. They are stout and just as expensive as their front bumpers, LINK , $1500.
*Second Disclaimer: These prices are not the lowest nor the highest. They were all the result of a quick Google search for preview purposes only.*

Awesome bud, I'll check all those when I get back home

No problem. I would have posted pictures but I am still photobucket retarded. It should be easy enough to figure out what the pictures are though.

FYI you don't need to host a photo that's already online typically
Right click photo and copy the image URL
Paste that into the image tool on TD

Plan on doing the same with my truck, and a leveling kit and try to fit 35s on it. Will basically have it set up for everything I need
Posted on 7/13/12 at 11:28 pm to FelicianaTigerfan
35"s with a leveling kit can be done. However, I do not recommend it. Most 35"s are 12.5" wide and that is cutting it close to your UCA and bumper when turning. The best option, IMO, is to go with a 295/60/20 (34x12). This gives you a good height and good width without being too wide.
If you plan on going with a front bumper/guard, I reccomend going with a .5" taller leveling kit than needed. The extra weight will make it sag that much. I actually went with a 2" leveling kit and I am still not quite level, and thats without a grille/guard.

I'll be keeping my stock rims and actually want as narrow of a tire as I can get.
