Does it bother anyone else that ESPN uses twitter for segments on SportsCenter?

For example, the Drew Brees signing is the first topic on the show and to wrap it up and talk about the next topic, they head to the twitter segment. Larry Fitzgerald and Chase Daniel giving Brees congrats on the signing. Why would anyone give a shite about Chase Daniel's tweets, or anyone's for that matter?

I just think it's fricking stupid and a waste of time. That is all.

Twitter is the best tool to get up-to-date, breaking sports information. Nothing compares to it.

They get a quote without having to do anything. Do you have a Twitter account?

A co worker convinced me to make an acct last month. I think I've been on it once. Just doesn't do anything for me.

You really should invest more effort into using your Twitter account. By far best social media outlet available.

Not just sports info, but any type of news. I knew bin laden was dead 30 minutes before it was even on TV. It's the first place journalists run to break a story.

That has nothing to do with Twitter, dumbass.

Rather, be mad at ESPN for deciding Daniel's opinion is news worthy.

Just because he tweeted it doesn't mean ESPN has to report it.

When did I say it was twitter's fault?

I'm not hating on twitter. I just think espn is dumb for making it such a big part of sportcenter.

Oh yeah,

You don't know how to use it. Which one are you: old or dumb?

I can't remember the last time I watched ESPN that wasn't a sports broadcast.

I'd rather just wait till somebody with a twitter account breaks the news on here. So that way I still get my news 15 minutes before most people and I dont have an extra social media to check

It's called working full time and going to school at the same time. I don't have time for it. Didn't think twitter was a requirement for intelligence, since all the shite from twitter on espn shows how smart everyone is.

Seriously?

You start an account, then follow people that report/are insiders of things that interest you, you get mobile updates, you stop following annoying people and add more cool ones, repeat.

It's not that difficult or time consuming at all.

Stop h8ing.
