Conspiracy Theory Regarding JoePa

I was just sitting here watching all the stuff about the Sandusky findings. JoePa and the other 3 top guys of PSU that knew about about the 98 investigation didnt say anything about it. What do yall think about JoePa committing suicide. Call it assisted suicide. I mean the guy basically ran Happy Valley and could have very well had a doctor(friend of program) help him do so. This way he dies from "cancer" and doesnt have to answer this shite storm about to hit. Think about it. The family can keep saying he knew nothing about it and try to save his legacy. I think it would have been a smart move to do this. I mean he went from kinda sick to dead. Quick. If he dies, then people can always have doubt he knew or had anything to do with it regarding a cover up. How hard would it really be to overdose a cancer patient?

No, he had too much hubris to commit suicide.

Assisted suicide can be covered up by doctors. How many doctors came from Penn St that loved JoePa?? How many people would do ANYTHING to 'save' him and his legacy? It makes sense. Im not saying this is what happens, but damn, that was kinda(call it luck) good timing to just die.

He faked his death and is living overseas

As stubborn as Paterno was, you think he was going to end his life? That guy never wanted to leave his job, much less, his life.

He did not commit suicide. The cover-up was that he had been fighting cancer for a while and it was kept private. He was afraid that if he retired, he would die soon thereafter like his old friend Bear Bryant did. JoPa had stones and loved life...he did not want to die. The scandal did depress him though and quickened his demise after he retired and had nowhere to go everyday.

I say Canada because its closer and JoePa is too fragile to fly.

You won't find him. Do you know what Paterno did for the first 10 of his 61 years at Penn State? Counterintelligence. Paterno is gone. There is no Paterno.

I've thought about this senario. Those saying that JoePa would never do this have no merit. Everyone said that about this mess we're in. You never really know somebody from a distance completely.

Its got some legs to it. Think about it. He was sick and going to die anyway. Why not go the assisted suicide route. No pain and he leaves on his own terms. Its almost a no lose situation. He dies pain free, doesnt have to go in the lions den of questioning, his family can deny most all of it because he's not here. At WORST he is seen as a martyr inside the inner circle for the program. People who say he had too big of balls to do it, or he was too proud, put yourself in this situation. Even the manliest of men would possibly crumble. It would be a saving grace to his family as well. I wouldnt call it "giving up" I would call it leaving on his own terms and protecting what he truly loved. His family and that University. Just my thoughts. Hell, he could have just died from cancer but it just seems too convenient he died during this investigation.

I thought of this the moment that a "cancer" diagnosis was released. The timing of his death was impeccable.

JoPa had stones

He had advanced cancer...assisted suicide is common in states like Oregon...I've drawn up end of life living plans for clients before.
If he did...I don't think it's a big deal...he was really ill and wasn't going to testify anyway.
