HOLY shite
DID YALL WATCH THE The Light of Hope yet?! watch this immediately
It was amazing. I can't imagine what they could do with some real money behind them.
I am so fricking jacked up to watch the series.
Seriously. Gohan's transformation was fricking amazing and it has me completely hooked. God I wish they'd do the cell saga. SSJ2 v Cell live action.
Also, the light of Hope is cool, but damn do I want to see Goku, Vegeta, and Piccolo.

aww man, somebody gets to watch DBZ from the beginning for the first time...
I spent many an afternoon rushing home to throw Toonami on just to catch the next episode.
Watched the first 2 last night, I liked it so far
I think it's awesome that I'll be watching this and know that it follows his life growing up.
Excited to watch this with my son when he gets a little older!

You skipped DB and went straight to Z?
Posted on 2/24/15 at 7:48 am to Korin
No, I'm starting at DB.

I'm jealous.

Did he actually kill it?
I mean, I guess he didn't, but Charles Manson didn't actually kill people either

Whatever dbz.tv is. I'm going to watch the first couple sagas, and if it keeps me intrigued, I'm gonna buy some seasons

About the light of hope movie
quote:
"Hope is worth fighting for." Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope is a 3-Episode live-action web series adaptation of "The History of Trunks" TV Special.
Created by fans, for fans, Light of Hope is a non-profit live-action version of the series that stays true to the characters, world, and events created by Akira Toriyama.
The full cast list and crew are written into the video description. I'm the writer.
Budget: $10,000. We received $6,000 from fans in an IndieGogo crowd-funding campaign. Minus fees and taxes, it came to about $5,000. The producers invested another $5,000 of their own money to secure locations and pay for film permits, costumes, and equipment.
Time: Almost 1 year.
The entire project was done by fans who love Dragon Ball Z and worked for free. Countless hours were poured into it, and great sacrifices of time, energy, and money were made in order to bring DBZ to life.
Plans for the Future: Episode 2 is longer, more action packed, and full of huge fights, but we have no money and cannot start filming it until we do.
If you want to see Dragon Ball Z: Light of Hope - Episode 2, then Donate to Robot Underdog, and buy The Dao of Dragon Ball Books. Every dollar we receive will go toward the budget of Episode 2, and to keeping me, the writer, alive.

Thank you, and enjoy Light of Hope!

I already donated to them. That was amazing.
They need to start a kickstarter with that video front and center then do a marketing blitz with whatever money they have.
And it only makes me hate Fox and Evolution that much more. What a waste.

That was Amazing! Literally 10,000,0000,000x better than that thing which I will not name. Because it doesn't exist in my mind.
I don't how they did that without a studio budget behind them. Are they hoping that if they do it right they will get picked up? I don't know how they can sustain more than 5 episodes with those vfx. Just because of how much that costs. I hope they can, they did a fantastic job.
Edit: post above answered all of those questions.

So you're watching it dubbed then.

Have you seen Man of Steel? The fighting in that is exactly how a DBZ movie should be.

Keep in mind that I'll be watching this with my son when he is old enough to understand and comprehend storylines, and will be able to follow along with me during the series.

Anybody else think the kid playing Trunks sounds like he is speaking in dragon tongue from Skyrim? Every time he started punching I thought he was starting to say "Fus Ro Dah" which is the force push spell in the game.
Or am I too nerdy for my own good?
