How much is Gordon's agent to blame?

I don't know who his agent is, but I know that the original "heart is in Phoenix" statement was released through him. After today's comments, it is obvious his agent isn't going to stop Gordon from making an arse of himself. What kind of agent would encourage/help his client look so immature/retarded? Anyone know if any of his other clients play for us?

What kind of agent would do the bidding of his client?

What do Gordon/his agent have to gain here? Demps has already made it clear they are matching no matter what. Even if not, he's still either getting the $58m from one of the two teams.

What kind of agent would help his client get more money? What kind of agent would try and help his client play in the city he wants to play in? ABSURDITY!

The agent is trying to ensure his client plays where he wants to play. What's wrong here?

OP is talking about his agent allowing the tone of Gordon's comments. It's not like it's Lebron talking, nobody is paying attention to this nationally so it won't hurt Gordon. It will locally but obviously he doesn't give a shite about that.

It seems somebody with a brain would advise him to keep his mouth shut. NOTHING positive comes from bad mouthing a city and/or an organization. If you absolutely refuse to play somewhere you tell the organization privately. It is what any mature, rational person would do. Why make yourself look like a self serving baby and alienate a fan base? It's especially ill advised if you have a contract to play for that team and might be there for years. Not to mention the other teams who may think twice about you giving 100% in the face of any kind of adversity. I will have a very hard time rooting for him if he stays. I'm hoping they find a way to turn him into role players and a future #1. We don't need him and his crappy attitude around Davis and Rivers. No maturity or professionalism.

You're asking for too much

bullshite. If you're a Hornets fan then you should support anyone on the Hornets roster.

How can you call bullshite on what I think? I've got season tickets and have been going to games since 2004. I shook hands with Anthony Davis and Austin Rivers 16 hours after they were drafted. I don't need you to validate whether or not I'm a fan. I don't like the guy and WILL have a hard time pulling for him. Try applying your logic to Penn State. Not comparing the two, but it underlines the flaw of blind loyalty.

Being upset because a team didn't value you = raping young children? Got it.

Is that what you took from that? Really? Your logic was that as a fan I should support anyone on the roster.
And you use the equal sign when referring to something that I said I was NOT comparing and obviously was not intended as a literal, specific comparison. Brilliant. Guess when you are wrong you have to reach a little.
Yeah...I don't think I'll use the word "logic" again regarding your posts.

PTI covered it.

90 secs two days ago isn't much play. If a higher profile player does this it gets 20 mins on each Sportscenter.

That's part of the problem. He hasn't done enough in his career to demand ANYTHING. You can get mad at LeBron, Howard, Paul, etc, but they at least stuck it out for while and proved they were elite players in the process. What has Gordon done?

Based on the small sample of interviews I'm not sure you can blame the agent at all. Gordon is coming off as a primadonna. He's not smart enough in interviews to know what to say and as an agent you can't control his mindset with the personality that Gordon has exhibited. Perfect example was when Gordon said he only wanted to talk about USA basketball the questioner was then able to get a tad bit more info from him by asking the same question in a different way. The agent can't control a mind that can't recognize that

I wouldn't blame his agent at all. He works for Gordon, and Gordon has expressed a desire to play elsewhere, so his agent will do everything in his power to try to make that happen. Otherwise he wouldn't be Gordon's agent for long.
