One question... WHY?!

So we drafted two future stars, especially one in Anthony Davis and yet NO ONE wants to sign here like everyone has been thinking... WHY?

The EG money is the key issue...when that gets settled, things will happen.

Hornets dont want to overpay in a weak free agent class when next yr class is really good and hornets will have more cap room next yr.

The Hornets aren't trying to sign big time FAs. This FA period sucks and people are getting severely overpaid.
Start panicking if they don't try to make moves next summer or the year after.

I don't really get it either. If I were Tom Benson, I'd have some of the more popular young Saints like Jimmy Graham, Lance Moore, Mark Ingram, etc. take new and prospective Hornets out on the town - to the CBD, the Warehouse District, the Casino, etc.
It makes no sense why the Saints routinely love New Orleans and the Hornets routinely hate New Orleans. It's the same damn city.

Winning, stable organization.

You cant see the difference between being on the hornets or being on the saints the past few years and currently being on the two?

agreed, if we keep Gordon we are good. we lose him get what we can for him or if we get screwed over you trust your young squad with some veterans and show the NBA how well Monty and Demps coached and selected good players

1) The Hornets haven't really targeted anyone because they need to see how the Gordon situation works itself out. If we match or trade him what pieces we need could be very different.
2) Right now guys are getting overpaid because there is a larger supply of cap space than talent. If you don't want to overpay for a player you need to wait until some of these big deals go down and the supply of cap space is reduced.
3) Waiting to see who gets amnestied is important. Why over pay for Asik when you can possibly pick up Brand or Haywood on waivers?
4) This sounds like Nic Batum might be asking New Orleans to put in a bid on him.

If Batum doesn't even like Nouvelle Orleans, we FUUUUUCCCCKKKKEEEEEDDDD.

They're overpaying for Batum, yea he's young and talented but MT5's better and is getting paid considerably less, and the only reason why we're gonna keep Gordon now is cause we have no one else that on this roster who will put up his numbers when healthy... yet, we will trade him once Rivers come to.. we don't want Gordon, we need him

I could see a large bid on Brand because he's an expiring.
Haywood, though? That one needs a lowball bid because it's 3 fully guaranteed years and a team option.

Why are you even mentioning Thornton? He and Batum don't play the same position.

what does position have to do with the amount of money you're getting paid, or city that you play in in, i'm not talking about positions right now so dismiss yourself from this post.
