Any news out there on what's being caught or what's being presented this time of year?

I went a tackle place once and asked a guy there. He sold me all kind of bullshite I've never seen to catch pompano... Let's just say I didn't get a bite. Wasted about 75 bucks. Try a double rigged sparkle beetle and a tsunami and if that doesnt work, there's no trout there.

Put you on a Carolina rig with crab or squid early or late and you will catch something.

Carolina rig with a 30 inch florocarbon leader. 12 lb test and catch live sand fleas for bait. Pompano. Guaranteed. Get your butt up for daylight. Don't try to go out there at 1 pm with the beach full and expect to do any good. Go to bait shop and tell them you want a sand flea net. They have them.

Fish tore this guy up in Gulf Shores, use a leader though. Someone on this board recommended it and it's now one of my favorite lures.
