It is being announced today in Atlanta. The Silverbacks fired Director of Soccer Rodrigo Rios and Head Coach Alex Pineda Chacón.

Hopefully he can bring some excitement to the team and area.

Seems like a great deal for them.

Too bad I hate the Silverbacks.

Is that an upgrade from Cal FC? (I have no idea what division they're in)

But he definitely profited from knocking off the timbers though eh?

I guess it's like going from the Blue Square Bet Premier to the Championship.

Doesn't really matter because the San Antonio Scorpions will still beat the shite out of them.

Extremely important edit: At Saturday's Scorpions vs. Atlanta and Monterrey CF vs. San Luis double header, I shook the hand of USMNT spot player Michael Orozco-Fiscal.

FOX Soccer ?@FOXSoccer
Hopefully he can continue the success he had with @Cal_FC. @Wynalda11’s duties in Atlanta will not affect his role at FOX Soccer.

Why do you hate the Silverbacks so much?

Seems random to hate a 2nd division squad so passionately.

With this big news. The Silverbacks just doubled season ticket sales.......

They now have 6 season ticket holders.

They were supposed to play Seattle in Atlanta a month or so ago. Promoted the crap out of it. I was all set to go when...

They sold the home field rights to Seattle, and was kind of like "deal with it" to the fans.

I understand why they did it, but that's not gonna keep me from hating them. I had a chance to watch the Sounders two hours away.

I'm glad they did otherwise it would have messed up my Wednesday night league game. Glad the Silverbacks have their priorities straight.

I was pissed and did not agree with what the FO did. The South needs a MLS and hopefully ATL with Blank can get it done. So in the meantime I support my "local" team.
