No thanks

Wouldn't pay him what it'd cost to have him as a bench player

I would like to sign him, and have him retire as a Hornets/Krewe/Angel or whatever we are

His big contracts days are over once this one runs out. He'd be a good off the bench vet mentor type but he'll probably sign with the Heat or Thunder for that.

There is a good case to possibly bring west and paul back but at the same time the hornets do not need them. They just drafted rivers and davis, both of which are going to be starters for the hornets at PG and PF. Also, the comment earlier abut west taking a bench role would not happen because he is still at a point where he can play starter minutes. As much as it would be nice to have west and paul retire as hornets, there is no need to dwell on the past but look towards the future in terms of what the hornets have in youth, and what holes they have in the lineup, and what they need to be successful.

West's time in N.O. is done.

BUT . . . I'm amazed that there are some posters who still don't recognized how good this guy was and what he meant to the franchise. That's especially true during the 2007-09 years. The guy played beyond his physical stature. And that jump shot was fricking money.
