The Valonqar. More choices than just Tyrion vs Jaime? Maggy's prophecy named him "the little brother" not "your".

I like the Sandor theory...the High Septon choosing him as The Faith's Champion vs Robert Strong / Gregorstein in Cersei's trial...but that would mean all we read in Briennes POV was a lie. Not the "he's dead" lie but the "Sandor reborn in faith" lie. Either that or I don't see him fighting any time soon.

Any other theories on who this could be?

I'm still thinking Jamie. I think Cersei has been too important in the series to kill her off in the beginning of Winds. Her trial is going to be almost immediate now that Uncle Kevan is dead as well as Grand Maester Pycelle. The only support she has on the small council is Qyburn and I doubt he is given much power. I think Ser Robert will be victorious against Lancel and Cersei will return to rule King's Landing. I believe Sandor will show up at a later time to kill, again, his brother. Jamie is going to continue to see how Cersei ruined him and that she never had his best interests at heart. I think he is going to be the one to kill her / let her die.

I've always assumed Jaime but thought too obvious with the way too obvious Tyrion red herring.

I also like Bran or even Rickon avenging the Lannister orchestration of The Red Wedding. or:

My pet theory: I'll save for now. See of anyone else came up with

Loras Tyrell

He's actually a good candidate that I had not thought of. But again I expect whoever fight against Robert Strong to lose. I just can't see Cersei being knocked off in the first POV of the book. This is GRRM we are talking about, so I guess anything is possible. If she dies, Tyrell's will rule with Tommen as a figurehead. King's Landing would probably be better off.

On second thought F that. Cersei has ruined too many prominent characters lives to let her die at a result of Tyrell doing. I will only accept her death at the hands of Arya, Jon, or the mouth of Nymeria or one of the dragons.

That's why I like my theory and Loras too. Let her win the trial. Fake sense of relief.

Mr Wayne FTW!

Maggy misred the sex a la Rheagar and maester Aemon in the prophecy. How friggin sweet would that be to see Cersei's seemingly narrow escape at trial and sense of relief shattered by the faceless woman?
