Is there a site that tracks deleted tweets? According to a poster on HR Brandon Jennings made and then deleted some tweets that would suggest the Bucks just told him he might be getting traded.

quote:

Brandon Jennings could be on the move soon.

He tweeted 'Got a crazy text this morning" and then tweeted "Im not a free agent". Then he tweeted another tweet "Its up to the Bucks what they do with me, I can only wait and see what happens". Then after a couple of min he deleted the tweets".

We know the Hornets have interest and with Jennings already saying he wants to leave I can't imagine the Bucks telling him something unless it was pretty likely to happen. I'm not saying the poster on HR is lying, but I can't find this anywhere else this morning and the only deleted tweets site I could find just tracks politicians.

Also of note, apparently the Bucks are kind of well known for doing Draft Day Trades.

quote:

There are some franchises that are known to trade at the trade deadline and there are others that are notorious draft day traders. The Milwaukee Bucks are usually one of the teams triggering major deals in and around the draft, however this year Bucks’ General Manager John Hammond is saying they will hold on to the #12 overall pick, which means they almost assuredly they won’t.

“We have done this over the last couple years. We’ve made a major trade at the draft,” Hammond said to Charles F. Gardner of the Journal Sentinel. “And to be honest with you, we’re hoping not to do something like that.

I'm still not sure I want Jennings, but I've seen a quote attributed to Demps or Monty somewhere that he reminds them of a young Tony Parker. According to the article I just linked Milwaukee wants Meyers Leonard and a more offense oriented big. #10 (Leonard), Smith or Ayon and #12(Rivers to replace Jennings) would give them what they are looking for.

Could be they told him they will hold off on a contract extension or that it's possible he can be a draft day trade. I'm 50-50 on Jennings but I trust Dell and Monty. Wonder if they'd go for a swap of first round picks and maybe Jack and/or Ayon.

I don't see Gus being included in any deal. First of all, it seems like Dell/Monty really like him and second, he wasn't really showcased or show enough to other teams to become a real asset. Now, Jack and 10 could be another story.

Jennings can flat out ball but I would be concerned about his team play aspect, seems like he needs to ball in his hands a lot. On the other hand, I know Demps would not make a move for a player he didn't feel would fit in with this team and Monty's teamwork game plan. If this were to pan out, I would be incredibly excited

This is what has me excited. I am excited to see who we pick/do with #10 but there's nothing I will be mad about because I think the mgmt. group we have right now is great.

Meh. Jennings is a volume shooter and his percentages were nothing special this year (he had almost the same 3pt% (.332 vs .333) and FG% (.418 vs 417) as Ariza). I don't think he would be the ideal point guard for our team with Gordon and Davis. I'd rather keep the #10 pick.

This is tough because I think if Lillard is there, 10 is worth holding onto. Jennings shot less than 42% last year. I can probably count on one hand the times I've seen him play so I don't know exactly how he holds up on defense but he did avg 1.6 steals.

The Bucks have been rumored to be in love with Drummand... if he somehow falls to 10 then there may be a chance for a #10/Player - #12/Jennings swap.

I wouldnt hold my breath though.

You guys saying you'd rather Lillard over Jennings are crazy. Jennings is already a top ten NBA PG - and that's with having had no scorers around him. Lillard may never even become top 15 for all we know!

Plus Jennings is considered a "star" around the league and we'd have a full year for our big 3 to develop next season and be able to recruit/ buy a stud 3 or 5 next offseason.

I have a feeling that we'll hold onto the pick if Lillard is there but if he is taken before us we immediately make the trade for Jennings.

Why do you value Lillard over Jennings?

Lillard will do the same type of things as Jennings, just not as good.

Wed be a single acquisition (Gay or Harden for example) away from being title contenders.

2013/14 Hornets and ratings
Jennings (8.25/10)
Gordon (8.5/10)
Gay (8/10)
Davis (9.5/10)
Smith (6.5/10)

2011/2012 Thunder and ratings
Westbrook (9.0. / 10)
Sefolosha (7.5 / 10)
Durant (10 / 10)
Ibaka (8.0 / 10)
Perkins (7.5 / 10)

Paul
Williams
Rondo
Westbrook
Rose
Parker
Nash
Wall
Irving
Jennings

If he is top 10, he's #10. I wouldn't put him higher than that on that list.

Well Nash is nearly done but yeah. Def a huge upgrade from Jack / Collison / ilk. More of a 48 minute PG than Dragic.

Plus poor Rose may be the new Rudy Gay. That injury and the timing was brutal (cost CHI two seasons and now they're contemplating moving 2 more starters!)
