He has been banned for over a year. He would really like to post again. He was banned for questioning the admins reasons for banning posters. He promises that he will not do it again. Have mercy please!!

I just read his post history and all I can say is hell no. You are posting on the same IP address as jmtigerfan but I will give you the benefit of the doubt, for now, since it was only one post from that addy.

I'm not an expert, but if I recall correctly, each device has a separate IP address. So posting from your iPad would yield a different IP address than his home computer's IP address, even of you are using the same wifi.

MAC address is the unique identifier
IP would be the same for all devices in a given location.
I actually had an Idea of writing an app that captured MAC addresses from broadcasts of wifi enabled smart phones, and then use a network of the phones with the app to map locations of devices by having 1000's if not millions of reporter devices(App enabled phones)
now you just have to capture someone's MAC broadcast....and then you can tract them wherever they go(without you getting their permission)
or if a crime occurs at a certain time and area....my private company will be able to show which cell devices were in the area.
Bad thing is that the APP would only work on rooted phones...which would mean that I wouldn't have a big enough network of phones for it to work, and no store would allow my app to be DL'd.....and some lawsuits I might have to worry anout.
