Germany leaving the Euro instead of Greece rationale

Granted this is a ZH article and linking can sometimes be likened to BR, I think it came up with some good/interesting points and wanted to get the MT POV.

SO basically...

now that France is moving to the left, Germany won't have the leverage by itself to call the austerity shots for all of Europe. And thusly they will take a short term economic hit and switch back to the DM, taking control of their own destiny.

I forget who said it but I recall a quote "Germany is too big for Europe but too small for the world."

Sounds like it could work out for Germany, they are a disciplined people with strong labor unions and social safety net. It seems natural to move towards isolationism.
