Your favorite Beatles song(s) and why

Assuming that you even like the Beatles.
Mine: Toss up between "Across the universe" and "Something"
Across the universe - I actually heard Fiona Apple's version back in the nineties which sparked my interest for the song and realized it was a Beatles tune. Great song, instrumentation and I really dig the slight "spacey" vibe on the original with the sitars in the background.
Something - just a very well written love song. It's like George Harrison knew how to describe some of those feelings when you have a crush or have strong feelings about someone. Really hit me.

Norwegian Wood - the guitar is just sublime
Martha My Dear - whimsical yet incredibly catchy
While My Guitar Gently Weeps - almost doesn't sound like a Beatles song, but haunting and epic

Happiness is a Warm Gun-I love the slightly dark aura of the whole song. It has one of the heaviest guitar breaks in the entire beatles catalog. John goes from him his smooth delivery to his passionate yell/singing in the same song. I have been obsessed with that song since I was 12. Lyrically, it's not "A Day in the Life" but it is my personal fave.

"Eleanor Rigby" -14 years ago it was the only song that would make my son stop crying. My wife would hold him and I would play it on guitar and sing him to sleep

I’ve Just Seen a Face. I love early rock n roll and this as close as the Beatles came to making a Buddy Holly song. It’s just such a perfect pop song, in a moment that no longer exists. And that middle section is great. “Fallin’, yes I am fallin’…”

In My Life
A John Lennon song, I always like it as a kid when my mom would play Beatles stuff. Lennon was shot while I was a student at LSU, and there was a memorial in the Oak Grove behind the Union. They closed out with this song, which evidently was one of John's favorites.

Octopus's Garden because the most talented Beatle wrote it.
A Day in the Life is pretty good too.

Easily my favorite. Can't really explain why I like it so much but it just makes me smile every time I hear the first few notes.

I like it so much because the entire medley section of that album is perfect and this song kicks it off.
