I see no problem with the rings. The team accomplished a lot last season and it deserves to be recognized regardless of the final game

You do realize that in 30 years those rings will signify one of the greatest seasons in the history of our blessed football program.

I like them. Instead of the #2, it should've read SEC Champions. IMO
As for this:
Ask Alabama to show you their conference rings for last year, since they're Alabama and entitled to everything.
While you're at it, ask them about that trophy too.

To put it in retrospect, you can win your conference and still not even be a top 10 team. Years from now when the BCSNC isn't a given that it's SEC, it will be cool to know that they weren't just conference champs, but a highly ranked SEC champion.

I have no problem with them getting SEC championship rings. They deserve them and they should be celebrated.
However, I think it takes away from their accomplishment by putting that phrase on there. Almost like a scarlet letter.
"We won the SEC even though we lost to another SEC team for the national championship!"
It's like a mix between a "feel good" and a "slap in the face" to the players to put the "Number 2 Nationally" on there.
They should have put SEC champions on it and have been done with it.

What? Ok, yeah, Its a SEC Championship ring, why put #2 Nationally. What does that got to do with it... To remind everyone, It was a SEC team that whooped their arse on National TV 21-0. They alto be offering the SEC ring to Alabama while they are at it. The true SEC Champion is ALabama otherwise LSU wouldn't have gotten the "beaten"... They were Scoreless. To Others around the country, LSU is SEC champs on paper..
