Attaching the Cord for a Drop Away Rest

In keeping with my knot tying posts...
Seriously though, I have always used a whisker biscuit, but I recently switched to a drop away arrow rest for my bow. How do you tie the cord to your bow string? Split the string, serve it, football clamp? What's the best method?

I figured I would embrace the addiction. But I really do want some input on the best way to attach my drop away rest.

I have attatched them both ways and have had no problems either way. If you have the tools and can do it yourself, I think serving it in place is less likely to move.
