It would be so cool if Mettenberger turns out to be awesome.

Drew's replacement after being groomed ala Rodgers.

I really need to watch 06-07 games to remeber what its like to have a good quarterback leading the team down the field. Just seems like a strange thing to me nowadays, I wont have to cringe everytime we drop back to pass

If he's just well above average, that should be good enough.

If he has a really big season, people are going to have to take a long, long look at him, even though he hasn't played much."

You could just tell.

Nice article (but why didn't they use a picture of him in his LSU uniform instead of Georgia's?).

Getting fired up to see him lead this team.

thanks for posting the article...I sure hope he tears it up this season and next...although I am sure if he does he will leave after 1 season...but I am being selfish in saying that I hope he stays 2 years

honestly, he should have been starting last season if there was an honest competition. The company line was he wasn't "mature" enough last offseason, but I don't buy it.

regardless, I really hope we can get 2 seasons out of Mett, but if we lose him after a badass season and a NC I think I can deal with it. It would have to be a pretty incredible year to overtake some of those guys due up in next year's draft.

Great article, hopefully CLM stands by what he stated and turns Mett loose. With the weapons at his disposal, Mett could have a very special year!

1) He was learning his 3rd offense in 3 years. That is not easy

2) LSU went 13-0 and was crushing teams (other than Bama...and LSU beat them in BDS)

I am a huge Mett guy and think he is going to be phenomenal. But, let's please try to not do the "he would have been just as good last season" based upon an awesome 'this' season.
