Sullinger would he a bad pick unless we had someone on the hook for a good trade for Goose. I just don't see Sullinger as a substantial upgrade over Ayon. Ayon is a great passer, which could be awesome with a healthy Gordon and Davis to dish to. He's tough, too.

I'm taking Rivers over Sullinger if both are still on the board.

Yeah his size and the log jam we would have at PF would lead me to believe that we won't be drafting Sullinger.

Ugh.

I don't see the point in getting Sullinger unless we're shipping out Oak, Ayon, or Smith for assets.

I'd rather have Rivers, Ross, or Meyers Leonard than Sullinger.

Ford on the Sullinger pick:

Analysis: We've been assuming the Hornets would try to fill their hole at point guard here with a player like Damian Lillard or Kendall Marshall. They may. But the buzz has been around Jared Sullinger's name here. I could see why the Hornets would think that Davis and Sullinger would be an ideal pairing together. They complete each other.

I do, however, wonder whether Sullinger's weak results in the athletic testing portion of the draft combine might change their mind. Sully may be the worst athlete in the draft.

This is something we definitely don't need.

"The New Orleans Hornets are shopping the tenth pick. They'd move it if the right deal came along. They want a guard," said a league source.

Alex Kennedy

Seems as though we only want a guard.

if the draft shakes out like this, i take rivers or pj3 (only if he shows he can play the 3, which he has not at this point).... do not want sullinger.

worst case scenario is if drummond, barnes (not at all likely to be there at 10 anyway), rivers and lillard go before 10.

Toronto is the only other team besides Blazers that could take a pg provided no one tries to jump us.

Would toronto break their alleged promise to Waiters if Lillard was available?

If we don't trade the pick I really think we're taking Rivers at 10. Lillard will be gone, and he will provide that extra scoring we really need right now

The Raptors are actively shopping their 8th pick. Many insiders believe they weren't the team to make the promise to Waiters.

I think a question for the hornets, which hasn't been discussed much at all on here, is if Waiters is available at 10 then would he be the pick ?
