WaPo must have the most devoted liberal commenters in America. Two stories today have left me shaking my head at the comments below the article.
E.J. Dionne's piece "Government is the Solution" pegged out the comment meter at 5,000+ comments, the vast majority of which are sopping up the kool-aid and bashing Republicans for all the evils of the world. It's amazing.
The piece linked above also had an extraordinary number of comments, mostly favoring the notion that Republicans are to blame for everything and that Obama hasn't been given a fair shot.
I used to think it was brainwashing that fueled this mentality. I now think it's their religion. Only blind faith can explain their complete devotion to the idea that government is the answer to all our problems.
Scary stuff that there's that many Americans thinking that way.
P.S. The New York Times readers are the most liberal, but they're not stupid asses like WaPo's. It'd be funny if it wasn't so disturbing.

Lost RE Equity is the largest culprit by far. You could put that squarely on the R in charge when the RE bubble burst, no?

it really has nothing to do with Obama or Bush
the real estate bubble artificially inflated wealth, and then the prices (And associated wealth) are not only returning to normal, but decreasing past the point they'd be at without the artificial inflation
