All of Omaha is pissed. They missed out on the team that travels the best and spends the most, and received a team that will travel less than any other team that made the post season

sucks for Barretts for sure

and I heard a lot of the bars have seen hug drop offs in revenue due to the new location of the stadium

but yea, swapping out 10,000+ fans for probably around 100 hurts

Next year the NCAA won't be able to afford to play in a big stadium like in Omaha. They go to a high school and ask if they can play there.

I'm still going. Guarantee LSU still brings more fans than SB.

And I'm sure you are just now providing a link, huh? Idiotic statement. They just built that new stadium in Omaha.

No actual hotel room cancelled because we live here... However, our spending for the CWS took a major nose-dive.

Typically we go to 8-10 CWS games when LSU is here, 3-4 when they are not. This year we've decided to just go to one game and upgrade to Club seats (probably Game 7, doesn't matter who is playing). We also took the cash and put it to better use... Last night we bought LSU vs N. Texas tickets, airfare, hotel 2 nights in BR, and 2 nights in NOLA for a 5 day Labor Day weekend back home.

Sucks that our Bayou Bengals didn't make it... but in our own way we're making lemonade out of lemons.

LSU vs N. Texas tickets,

Just curious, but why did you pick that game?

Guaranteed win?

what part? I lived there for 10 years and mom still lives up there close to Millard. Does Omaha still suck 345 days out of the year?

Too funny... We were certainly aware of the Festival in NOLA when we suggested the trip to our kids (3 boys), however, it was never a deterrent. Too many other great things in the city going on, the festival won't impact our trip.

No, not the win... the guaranteed tickets. To far to travel with a gamble on other games (e.g. Bama, SC, Ole Piss, etc.). Plus it's a holiday weekend for N. Texas.

Northwest (156th & Maple) area.
