I'm about halfway through the second season. This has to be, by far, the worst thing that Whedon has done, correct? Dushku is terrible. She doesn't have nearly the range required to pull off this role. A lot of the episodes that focus on her are just painful, and honestly I feel like a lot of it was written just to show her in very little clothing. Damn shame too, because the guy playing Topher and the actors/actresses playing the other dolls all did a damn good job. There are some really solid episodes that don't focus on Dushku.
FWIW I was going to bump an old thread but they're all locked for being too old

I loved this show. Thankfully Fox allowed Whedon to finish out the show before they cancelled it. Epitaph 2 was the shite!

I could not make it past 3 episodes. It was un-watchable.

While it was my least favorite of all the things he's done, I still enjoyed it.
The only thing Dushku had going for her was her hotness. She wasn't that good in Buffy either, but she wasn't the main person, so it wasn't that big a deal. If someone else would have had the lead, and Dushku was a backup, it would have been great.

Yeah, it really could have been. Summer Glau's character and her interaction with Topher was great.

I enjoyed it and was bummed when it got the axe. But it was mostly for everyone but Dushku.

The more of this show I watch the more I hate Eliza Dushku. She's cringe worthy and completely ruins this show.

I gave up on the 1st season...didn't fit her at all.
I'd rather have had Tru Calling Season 3.

Yep. Could have been good but never arrived at the level of "damn this is good." Loved Dushku in Buffy but she didn't hit the mark here.
