Could've been plenty more if Henry got his raise!

Go inside the field house sometime and look at the national championships sign. It's astounding.

Agree with the Pat Henry comments - said it before on this site myself.
That said, it's great to see LSU get back to winning a championship but it's not like Henry isn't going to reload at A&M and by the way, compete for SEC championships as well.

I think it's shameful that the women's track team didn't get at least the front page of Sunday's Advocate sports section to themselves. This is unprecendented for The Advocate whenever an LSU team wins a national championship. In the past, the track has gotten at least top billing on 1C and sometimes 1A as well. In 1997, when the baseball team and the track team won national championships on the same day, The Advocate had two sports sections (Sports I and Sports II) so that each team could get its due. Instead, The Advocate gave the baseball team 1A and 1C after losing and relegated the track team to page two. Does this make any sense? Compare this to the Tuscaloosa paper that gave the Alabama softball team 1A and 1C on the day after they won the national championship last week. I've heard that there's a new sports editor who has been on the job for a couple of months. I hope he gets an earful from angry track fans.

Semi hijack: What are the scholarship limits for the track teams? What is the typical number of team members? I assume they can give partial scholarships like baseball.
