1. LSU versus a 4-seed Stony Brook? (RPI 63)

2. Oregon versus a 3-seed Kent State? (RPI 59)

3. Arizona versus a 3-seed St. John's? (RPI 39)

Stanford. All they have to do is wait for the ACC school to fail to live up to expectations...

None are easy. But the perceived easiest is Stony Brook. #4 seed and won a weaker overall regional.

Arizona's park has very quirky dimensions and St John's will not be able to adapt in time to take 2/3.

During one of the regionals that was televised, the announcer said an ACC team hasn't won a CWS title since 1955. That is remarkable.

What a loaded question. There is no way to know what path is the easiest. It's baseball and anyone that has ever played knows the more talented team does not always win.

Baseball is not about what conference you are from, it's about strategy and momentum and yes, a little luck. For those discounting Stony Brook because of the name .. shame!! They have won 50 games and their RPI isn't too shabby all things considered.

Plus, they are HOT at the moment! LSU should win, but by no means is it a given that we will!! Enjoy the moment and get ready for some good baseball!!

yet they continue to get super hyped most years. esp. florida state who, if my memory serves me correctly, has never won a championship and has more appearances than any other school.

I think we have the easiest path. We just need to take care of business at the Box again!
