Since the weighted lottery system was put in place in 1990 (22 years ago), only 3 teams with the worst record (best chance) has gotten the #1 pick. Only 4 times did the 2nd worse team get the #1 pick. So, 15 out of 22 times the "long shot" got the #1 pick.
There's your conspiracy theory. The NBA can't hire good statisticians. Those odds are BS.

Even if it were fixed, it is done and over with and we got the pick and nothing nobody can do about it.
