They're in a bracket with Cal, So. Florida and Oklahoma.

I hope LSU can beat South Florida, and Oklahoma. and manage to beat California, but we'll see. LSU has the worst record among 8 WCWS teams. LSU should be the cinderella not USF.

Every team there has at least 1 pitcher that can shut another team down if they are on their game. LSU has 2

LSU has the pitching. Just need to continue to get timley hitting and they have a chance. They've been to the CWS before, but they didn't have the pitching depth. I think they made it one game from the finals if I recall years ago, but they just didn't have the horses to pitch.
In fact it was Cal that took them out. Won the first game, but couldn't do it a second. They played 3 games that day.

I m pretty sure LSU already crushed Berkeley earlier this year. They have that bracket in the bag.

Yikes.
Still, just getting to the CWS is great exposure for the program and its young coach. When coach calls her recruits tonight, she can tell them to watch the CWS.
The whole athletic program is a sleeping giant. Just need the right head coach.

yep. Kristen Schmidt in 2004 pitched 3 games in a row one day and finally wore out. she was a warrior.
